AutoTasks Privacy Policy

AutoTasks reads a customer only at the moment it writes their message, uses it to write that one message, and lets it go. Our servers never save it, log it, or sell it.
What AutoTasks is
AutoTasks is a Chrome extension for salespeople. It works the email and text tasks in the CRM you already use: it reads what's needed to write each message in your voice, shows you the draft, and sends only what you approve. You review and approve every message.
Your customers' information
- Read only when it's needed. When AutoTasks writes a message, it reads that customer's details from the CRM page open in your browser (for example their first name, the vehicle, and recent notes).
- Used once, then gone. Those details are sent over an encrypted connection through our server to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to write that one message. Our server passes them through and does not save, log, or keep them.
- Our AI provider. Anthropic does not use this information to train its models. Anthropic may keep it for a short time under its own privacy policy (for example, to prevent misuse), and then deletes it.
- Nothing kept on your computer either. While you work, customer details the extension uses (such as the Call now, Hot and Mark lost lists) live only in Chrome's temporary session memory, which Chrome clears when you close the browser.
- Never sold, never shared, no ads. We don't sell, rent, or share customer information, and we don't use it for advertising or anything other than writing the message you asked for.
What stays on your computer
A few things are saved in your own Chrome profile so AutoTasks works the way you like. They stay on your computer and are not sent to us:
- Your settings and your dealership's message rules.
- Your writing voice: your style choices, and wording from messages you wrote or edited, with customer names, phone numbers, email addresses and links removed. You can turn learning off or erase it in Settings at any time.
- Simple counts, like how many texts and emails you sent and the time you saved.
What we keep about you
- Your account. Your name and email address, so you can sign in. Sign-in is handled by our provider, Clerk.
- Your plan. Whether your account is paid and active.
- Usage counts. How much AI writing your account used today, as a number, to keep usage fair. Not the messages themselves.
What AutoTasks can access in your browser
AutoTasks only works on the CRM site you connect. The first time, Chrome asks your permission for that site. It does not read your other tabs, your browsing history, or other websites. You can remove the permission at any time in Chrome's extension settings.
Security
Everything AutoTasks sends travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The AI key is kept on our server, never in the extension.
Deleting your account
Email tryautopost@gmail.com and we'll delete your account and plan record. Uninstalling the extension removes everything it saved on your computer.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
